Theo Frenkel (1)

Theo Frenkel Theodorus Maurita Frenkel (14 de julio de 1871 - 20 de septiembre de 1956) fue un director de cine holandés, actor y guionista de la era del cine mudo.

Trabajó en Gran Bretaña bajo el nombre de Theo Bouwmeester, utilizando el apellido de su renombrada madre y tío (ambos actores consumados), antes de trabajar en Alemania en 1913 y 1914 y luego regresar a los Países Bajos, un país neutral, antes de la Primera Guerra Mundial.

Dirigió 214 películas entre 1908 y 1928. También apareció en 21 películas entre 1911 y 1948. Su sobrino Theo Frenkel Jr. (1893-1955) fue actor de cine. wiki
