Alvin Ganzer (1)

Alvin Ganzer (1911–2009), fue un director de cine y televisión estadounidense.

Biografia
Ganzer nació en 1911 en Cold Spring, Minnesota.

Carrera
Cuando era joven, Ganzer se mudó a California, y en 1932 se le dio un trabajo en Paramount Pictures en su departamento de casting. Trabajó para Paramount como asistente y director de la segunda unidad en muchos largometrajes desde 1934 hasta 1954. Su primer crédito como director de largometrajes es para The Girls of Pleasure Island (1953); había estado ayudando a F. Hugh Herbert, quien se enfermó durante la producción. De 1954 a 1979, fue un prolífico director de episodios para series de televisión y dirigió varios largometrajes adicionales.

Vida personal
Estaba casado con Murial Ganzer, y tuvieron un hijo, Alvin, y una hija, Carolynn Jacobs Finnegan, quienes lo sobrevivieron.

Murió el 3 de enero de 2009, en Poʻipū, Hawai, donde él y su esposa se habían mudado unos seis años antes para estar cerca de su hijo. wiki
