When I read the blurb I thought this was a stranger/love story with a touch of BDSM, but it was more D/s. While I enjoy the occasional D/s story, I felt the journey Chris and Valerie took was too powerful for two strangers to take. The level of trust that Chris demanded seemed out of place and disturbed me on some levels. Valerie didn’t even seem to know she had submissive tendencies and was confused and in subspace for a lot of the story, a state she wasn’t aware of but showed she was a true submissive. Again disturbing. While sexy and provocative as well as well-written, I would have liked to seen more relationship building before jumping to the deep end of the pool.
