Lekki i szybki klient sieci BitTorrent. Idealny dla użytkowników, którzy oczekują bezawaryjnego działania, małego zużycia zasobów systemowych i braku uciążliwych dodatków niezwiązanych z podstawową funkcjonalnością oprogramowania.

Najważniejsze zalety programu:

- Małe zużycie zasobów systemowych: uTorrent podczas pobierania pliku z sieci BitTorrent przeważnie nie wykorzystuje więcej niż 10Mb pamięci RAM. Sam program zawarty jest w jednym pliku wykonywalnym, który zajmuje mniej niż 1Mb.

- Pozwala na automatyczne pobieranie plików Torrent z kanałów RSS i Mainline DHT.

- Obsługuje wspólną specyfikację szyfrowania protokołu (kompatybilną np z Vuze i BitComet) oraz pozwala na wymianę węzłów.
