Al-Qadim Archetypes: Scimitars Against the Dark presents six new subclasses as well as new spells, new monsters, a new variant race, and more for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition!

With an emphasis on exploring the seas and deserts of Al-Qadim, this PDF contains everything you need to take on the evil that threaten the Land of Fate, but also includes easy guidelines for using these options in any setting you like! New class archetypes-- based on the original Al-Qadim: Arabian Adventures and Wolfgang Baur's "Campaign Journal: Scimitars Against the Dark" in Dragon Magazine-- contain not just rules, but full subclass descriptions and setting material to help you or your players role-play these new archetypes to the hilt. The all-new archetypes include:

Fighter Archetype: The Janissary. Sworn members of a military order (such as a mamluk society), these soldiers defend those in their charge with indomitable endurance and an uncanny precision when using group tactics.
Ranger Archetype: The Mariner. Seafarers, pirates, privateers, and merchant captains, mariners are rangers are born to the sea, accustomed to swift moves and running battles over open water. Their light, mobile fighting style focuses on devastating counterattacks and outmaneuvering opponents.
Paladin Archetype: The Oath of Enlightenment (The Faris). A faris (holy warrior) pledged to uphold the righteous teachings of the Loregiver, this paladin is devoted to the common people and the call of holy war.
Arcane Tradition: School of the Sungazer. Living paradoxes, these wizards delve into the shadows to defend the light, studying forbidden tomes and blasphemous sorceries that give them the insight and power to defeat evil, but at the eventual cost of their sanity.
Cleric Domain: The Defender Domain. Sworn to a secret order that defends civilization from ancient evil, clerics of this domain gain the power to protect those around them with relentless determination. Yet sometimes these priest-defenders are forced to deceive the innocent as well, altering their memories to save them from insanity.
Rogue Archetype: The Tomb Robber. Half-thief and half-historian, tomb robbers are scholars-turned-scoundrels, two-fisted archaeologists who use their superior knowledge to survive trap-filled ruins and haunted mausoleums, all while attaining absolute mastery of a distinctive weapon of their choice (a whip, perhaps...?).

In addition, Al-Qadim Archetypes: Scimitars Against the Dark provides a range of monsters at Challenge Ratings from 1-24, including the deceitful undead genies known as the great ghuls, the tragic race of fallen giants called the rom, the devious and nigh-unstoppable alien menace of the Zakharan Kraken, and many more!

Crouched within a vast cavern complex, the city of Sheoloth is a skeleton of stone wrapped in tortured flesh and clad in robes of woven silk. From its first beginnings as a captured fortress, Sheoloth has slowly expanded over the decades. Expansion of the city eats away at the stone around it, leaving behind thick cores of marble and basalt to support the ceiling of the city. Glittering corpselights wander the streets, providing illumination to both the estates of the nobility and the meanest hovel of the most poverty-stricken foreigners. It is a place of strange beauty and stark power, at once serene and filled with chaotic violence, Sheoloth is a true home to the drow.

This mighty tome details a complete subterranean city, populated by the most vicious and twisted race ever depicted in fantasy - the Drow! Adaptable to any existing campaign, Sheoloth may be used as the centrepiece to many scenarios, pitting the players against the most evil elves to rule the Underdeep, or as the scene of destructive politicking between rival drow nobles.

Five seperate adventure sites playable individually or linked together, The Star Cairns can provide a diversion for treasure-hungry adventurers or can be used as the seeds for an extensive campaign. Although the adventures are designed for four to eight characters of levels 5-8, each section can be adjusted for weaker or stronger groups.

Part three of a three-part series.

At long last, the Kagonesti elves are rising against their Silvanesti and Qualinesti masters. A prophet has come to deliver them from bondage; all of Southern Ergoth rings with the sounds of battle!

The Kagonesti flee their arrogant cousins, heading toward a land of legend: The Valley of Perfect Silences. Here only Kagonesti are allowed; no longer will they suffer servitude and wrong. The Gate has been found and the way is open. Kagonesti pass through the gate and into the promised land.

Or do they?

All is not as it seems in the Valley of Perfect Silences. Beneath the idyllic land of the valley lurks an ancient secret. You must journey to the valley and explore its darkest recesses. Unless you uncover the mystery of the valley, the Kagonesti may find that they have entered a new, vastly more horrible servitude.
Wild Elves contains much new information on Kagonesti elves and their society.

Rather than being a pure dungeon crawl or wilderness adventure like the earlier B-series of modules, The Veiled Society is set in the Specularum, the capitol of the Grand Duchy of Karameikos, and involves the party in a struggle between the city's three major families (the Vorloi, Radu, and Torenescu). The plot is fairly linear, and the book comes with "paper sculptures" of houses and cardboard figures.

Licensed for use with the 4th Edition of the Dungeons & Dragons Roleplaying Game, this fully-illustrated supplement contains more than 70 new powers; full descriptions and statistics for 24 weapons and 20 items of armor or shields; two new weapon groups; and a section on familiar weapons that might appear in an Indian milieu.

While a few arms and armor items from India appear in traditional D&D campaigns, the region's rich and colorful variety of ancient and medieval armaments are largely unknown in most campaign settings. Such arms and armor can be used both to enhance the action of a traditional campaign and to punctuate the distinct, exciting adventures and characters possible in settings inspired by the vast region.

This book contains information about the weapons used throughout the Indian subcontinent - to include what are now the nations of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, along with the border regions of Afghanistan, Bhutan, Burma, Nepal, and Tibet - from the most ancient times right up to the pre-Colonial era. It also considers significant influences on the arms and armor of India, such as the 900-year Muslim domination of the region that began in the 7th century A.D.

Time for a little magic—100 detailed magical writings, which are not just your everyday scrolls! The exceptional imagination of author Greg Ragland has turned what might seem to be fairly predictable items into unexpected pieces of adventure. From a scroll that can be read only in a dream to a huge sheet of brass fastened to a castle wall to a spell in the heart of a jewel, there are "scrolls" here as you’ve never seen them before.

Each item has a physical description (written for a GM to read aloud if desired), a brief history, and complete 3.5 Edition stats. In addition to the familiar scrolls and books of spells, you will find mystic writings in all shapes and sizes, some hidden or protected in a variety of ways, whose histories provide possible plot hooks or story ideas. The values of these pieces run the gamut from 50 to over 100,000 gold pieces, and include Encounter Levels (ranging from 1 to 20) to make them easy to fit into any treasure hoard.

As usual, TTA has included extensive indexing. Item cards are also provided for all scrolls, giving a summary of the physical description and stats. GMs can hand these cards to players, to retain for future reference. We have also included a text-only version that can be used to cut and paste directly into your GM notes or sized into large print for those who prefer larger type.

54 pages plus item cards; 82 pages total

The drow. The dark elves. Banished to the Underdeep millennia ago by their surface cousins, they plot and scheme and struggle for survival. Beautiful and wicked, brilliant and deadly, they are the knife in the dark, the threat in the deeps.

Since the drow were introduced to the roleplaying world some 25 years ago, they have become favourites of Games Masters and terrible foes to uncounted parties of Player Characters. Sadly, they have also become overused and oversimplified. There is no mystery to them anymore. Players know exactly what to expect from an encounter with drow, and exactly how to cope with it. Games Masters find themselves saddled with innumerable clichés and presumptions about the drow, making one raiding party just like any other, one drow city just like all the others.

That is where this book comes in.

The drow are evil. Sundered from their surface brethren for sins against the world, the drow have nurtured their hatred for centuries, developing new and more exotic types of evil. From their horrific ovarisites used in the gestation of their children to the arachnurgical rites used in their brands of despicable magic to the dark secrets of fleshcrafting, the drow have created evil all their own. Lurking below the surface, they brood over the fates of their enemies while formulating new types of magic and developing new martial skills. Ancient, decadent, and thoroughly vile, the drow are the ultimate enemy of any who earn their ire.

This volume in the Quintessential series presents the drow in all their hellish glory, revealing for the first time their practices from birth to death and beyond. Contained within these pages you will find the secrets of the drow, enabling Games Masters to create dark elf villains or players to design the drow characters of their darkest dreams.

Drow are the most feared denizens of the underdark, and with good reason. Since the civil war that first exiled the dark elves under the earth, they have been forced to fight for survival on a daily basis. Watched over by dark gods with cruel ambitions, the drow have spent thousands of years evolving into scheming, power-hungry warlords. This book tells their story. It focuses on aspects of the drow that escape coverage in conventional sources. You'll learn about drow mutations and half-breeds, including the half-demon shur and half-goblin urbam; the secretive professions found only amongst the drow, such as the demon-calling Keepers, the shadowy Dark Blades, the perverse Blood Druids, and the half-machine Adamantine Soldiers; the magic, equipment, poisons, and feats of the drow; and the subterranean society of the drow, including the horrific war machines they build from the hollowed-out shells of giant beetles.

This book uses the 3.5 edition of the d20 rules set, and is fully compatible with the world’s most popular role playing game.

Every fantasy city has its darker side: the place where the rogues rule and even the city guard are reluctant to walk at night. Corruption is king and betrayal is queen in a shadowy world where the strong survive, the cunning prosper, and the honest pray every night that they might live to see the dawn. It is known by many different names, in many different places, but it is always thought of as the Thieves' Quarter.

In Thieves' Quarter: A City Quarters Sourcebook, The Game Mechanics present a complete Thieves' Quarter for use in any urban fantasy setting. Designed to be just one section of the larger fantasy city of Liberty, the material in Thieves' Quarter can be used as a whole, or mined for useful details. Every aspect of the city is created with the larger city setting in mind--but designed so that GMs can pick and choose which elements to include in their own campaigns.

Thieves' Quarter includes:

* two dozen maps by Christopher West, a regular contributor to Dragon and Dungeon magazines
* a fully-detailed Thieves' Guild
* inns, taverns, and urban homes
* over three dozen NPCs
* plot hooks
* new equipment (including poisons)
* plots and conspiracies linking it all together

Thieves' Quarter: A City Quarters Sourcebook is the first installment in a series of fantasy urban sourcebooks, each with the same modular design principles.

Thieves' Quarter is an 80-page PDF, plus cover, for GMs and world-builders.

Temple Quarter: A City Quarters Sourcebook is the second volume of the award-winning City Quarters series, which began with the highly acclaimed Thieves' Quarter. Thieves' Quarter is the winner of the 2004 Gen Con EN World RPG Awards for Best Setting Supplement (silver) and Best Cartography (gold), and Temple Quarter is being produced by the same people.

Temple Quarter explores the prayer houses, ritual spaces, and religious orders that might appear in any urban fantasy setting, including the secretive, forbidden rites of dark orders. Every aspect of the setting is created with the larger city of Liberty in mind, but designed so that GMs can pick and choose which elements to include in their own campaigns.

Temple Quarter includes:

* sixteen maps by Christopher West, a regular contributor to Dragon and Dungeon magazines
* forty complete NPC stat blocks, from high priests to temple lay clergy
* new rules for rites and ceremonies
* guidelines for religious conversion
* plots, plot hooks, and conspiracies linking it all together

First things first: The only other books you need to run this adventure are the Core Rulebooks. No other product from The Game Mechanics is required. While the adventure is set in the same city of Liberty detailed in the City Quarters Series, all the material required to run Ring of Thieves has been included here.

Ring of Thieves is an urban adventure for four 3rd-level characters set in the Old Quarter of Liberty, an urban fantasy setting created by JD Wiker and Christopher West. The setting is designed to be used as a whole or mined for useful details. Every aspect of the city is created with the larger city setting in mind?but designed so that GMs can pick and choose which elements to include in their own campaigns.

This adventure focuses on the interaction between the various criminal elements within the Old Quarter and pits the party against footpads, assassins, the city watch, and various other dangerous individuals. Over the course of the adventure, players have a chance to interact with the seedier elements of Liberty society, rubbing elbows with sailors, mercenaries, and thugs throughout. Ring of Thieves is also a mystery, designed to give players ample opportunity to use their investigative and social skills as well as the brute force of strong-arming informants and exchanging blows with corrupt watch wardens.

By adopting the locations and NPCs in this adventure for your own city, or by tweaking the adventure to match the urban geography and characters of your own campaign city, Ring of Thieves can be integrated with most any urban fantasy campaigns.

If you are intrigued or inspired by the City Quarters material in Ring of Thieves (anything under a "Location" heading), you can find more resources for your home campaign in Thieves' Quarter and Temple Quarter.

Requires the use of the Dungeons & Dragons?, Third Edition Core Books, published by Wizards of the Coast, Inc. This product utilizes updated material from the v.3.5 revision.
