Frank McDonald (5)

Frank McDonald (9 de noviembre de 1899 Baltimore, Maryland - 8 de marzo de 1980, Oxnard, California) fue un director de cine y televisión estadounidense, activo desde 1935 hasta 1966. Dirigió más de 100 películas, incluidos muchos westerns protagonizados por Gene Autry y Roy Rogers, y numerosos episodios de programas de televisión.

Un ex trabajador ferroviario, Frank McDonald llegó a Hollywood después de una carrera en el escenario como actor/productor/director. Al principio contratado como director de diálogos, McDonald presentó algunos guiones y, a mediados de la década de 1930, comenzó a dirigir.

Trabajando para casi todos los estudios en Hollywood en un momento u otro, hizo mucho trabajo para Republic, mezclando westerns de Gene Autry y Roy Rogers, y en la unidad "B" de Pine/Thomas en Paramount, produciendo westerns, dramas de acción y films de guerra.
