Ford Beebe (26 de noviembre de 1888 - 26 de noviembre de 1978) fue guionista y director. Entró en el negocio del cine como escritor alrededor de 1916 y durante los siguientes 60 años escribió y/o dirigió casi 200 películas.

Se especializó en películas de serie B, en su mayoría westerns, y series de acción, y trabajó en las series "Buck Rogers" y "Flash Gordon" para Universal Pictures.

Biografía
Ford Beebe nació el 26 de noviembre de 1888 en Grand Rapids, Michigan. Antes de mudarse a Hollywood, era un escritor independiente que también tenía experiencia en publicidad. Llegó a Hollywood en 1916 y comenzó a trabajar como guionista de westerns. Su primer crédito fue como guionista de la película de 1916 A Youth of Fortune. Beebe dirigió por primera vez cuando Leo D. Maloney, que había estado dirigiendo una película llamada The Test, cayó enfermo.

Beebe se hizo conocido como director de películas y series de bajo presupuesto. Una vez fue descrito como "un experto en hacer algo de la nada". La primera serie dirigida por Beebe fue La sombra del águila de 1932. Luego dirigió varias otras series, en particular El viaje a Marte de Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, The Green Hornet y Don Winslow de la Marina; Estos fueron señalados por el historiador de cine Hal Erickson como los mejores trabajos de Beebe.
