Welcome to the front lines, Battle-Brother!
Deathwatch is a roleplaying game in which you take on the role of a member of the Adeptus Astartes - the devout, bio-engineered super-soldiers also known as Space Marines. After many years of exemplary service within your own chapter, you have been singled out and selected to join one of the most unique and specialized collectives of Space Marines - the Deathwatch.
Only the most exceptional candidates from the fighting forces of the Adeptus Astartes are invited to join the mysterious Deathwatch; to take on a new oath to safeguard the Imperium from the darkest of threats. You will now be called into service to hunt down and destroy hostile xenos forces, to seek out and crush the root of heresy and sedition, and to continually fight against the foul daemon menace that crawls forth hungrily from beyond the Warp. You are at the fore of Mankind's war for survival against an extremely hostile universe.
For centuries, the Deathwatch have maintained their silent vigil over the ancient ruins of the Reach, but now you find yourselves on the front lines of a grand Imperial Crusade that has been launched to reclaim this vast region of space from darkness and heresy.

Dark Heresy is a roleplaying game based upon the universe of Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000. The setting of Warhammer 40,000 is a dark, gothic future where the Imperium of Man is beset by dangers within and without. Rites of Battle, a supplement for Deathwatch, provides a host of additional options for players and GMs alike. This book expands on many of the ideas, themes, and systems present in the Deathwatch Rulebook and offers means to enrich and add detail to the adventures of a Kill- team in the Jericho Reach.
A host of new character options allow for increased personalization with thorough “Create Your Own Chapter” and “Alternate Specialities” rules. Plus, play a member of the Imperial Fists Chapter or one of the Successor Chapters that send Space Marines to the Deathwatch. Oblivion's Edge picks up right where Final Sanction leaves off, with the Battle-Brothers’ escaping from Lordsholm during the horror of the Tyranid invasion of Avalos. The Kill-team must strike back against the alien terror intent on stripping the world of all life, before it is too late.
As Oblivion's Edge is the direct sequel to Final Sanction, you may wish to use the pre-generated characters from Final Sanction, which can be downloaded from the Deathwatch Support Page.

Greetings, Deathwatch fans!
This week, I am pleased to present Know No Fear, a free downloadable .pdf chronicling the timeline of the setting for Deathwatch, the Jericho Reach. Written by Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay veterans John French and Alan Bligh, Know No Fear takes a closer look at how the Jericho Sector fell into darkness, the arrival of the Achilus Crusade, and the presence of the Deathwatch in the region, warding against even more sinister forces.
The First Founding Legions were crafted by the Emperor himself in the image of his twenty Primarchs. They forged the Imperium in bloody combat as they waged the Great Crusade across the galaxy. Many Space Marines fell to the maligned seduction of Chaos during the Horus Heresy, but those that stayed loyal formed the base from which all Space Marine Chapters would be created. Those Chapters that still hold the loyalist Legions’ names and colours are the oldest and the most revered of all the Adeptus Astartes.
First Founding details the nine Chapters directly formed from the loyalist Space Marines Legions, and includes new rules from solo modes to new advances specialities. Of these nine Chapters, First Founding features the final four Chapters not discussed in previous Deathwatch rulebooks.
