Chartiy gig given for the "Save the Baby" association.
Band is :
Mark Knopfler, John Illsley, Danny Cummings, Guy Fletcher, Chris White
Robbie McIntosh, Geraint Watkins, Bobby Valentino, Brendan Crocker, Steve Philips, Marcus Cliffe and jimmy Nail.
A very special gig this one, for several reasons.
It was John Illsley's first appearance on stage since the last Straits concert, back in October 9th, 1992 !
Also, it was Danny Cummings' first appearance on drums with Mark on stage, and that was simply FABULOUS !!
Robbie McIntosh on guitars is also really great to hear ! Fantastic work, don't miss him !
Chris White also joined the band, so, from the Dire Straits band, we had Mark, Guy, Danny, John and Chris on stage that night ! That's maybe why they played songs like Calling Elvis, Walk of life, Your latest trick and Going home !
That was the first time ever that "Why Aye man" and "Quality shoe" were played, as the "Ragpicker's dream" album hadn't been released yet !
So, the setlist is great, with a good mix of songs !
On this DVD, the concert is complete, the sound and picture are both very good !
