The extension is known to work on the following Operating Systems:

Windows Vista: stable as of 0.2.5 (Windows Photo Gallery);
Windows XP: stable as of 0.2.1 (Windows Picture and Fax Viewer);
Linux: stable as of 0.2.1 (KView; since 0.2.5.2: gThumb; if your distro doesn't provide kview or gThumb, you can do something like this: sudo ln -s /usr/bin/gwenview /usr/bin/gthumb);
Windows 2000: stable as of 0.2.1 (Kodak Imaging Preview);

All other OSs: no official testing performed (note FX 3 allegedly doesn't run on pre-2000 Windows versions). Things might get better for these OSs with 0.3 release, when users should be able to choose the app to use. No timeline currently is set for 0.3 release.

Feedback on Users' Comments:
So far the app used to launch images is not configurable: pre-installed Windows apps, and a popular Linux app is used. The goal for 0.3 release will be to provide either OS-based or extension-based app customization.

This extension is only capable of uploading images that are embedded on the page with an HTML 'IMG' tag. Most images appear on web pages in this manner. CSS background images will not work.

The Histogram Viewer generates the histogram of a selected image. When the user right clicks on an image, the option "Show Histogram of Image" is shown in the context menu. If the user selects this option a new window is opened which shows the histogram of the image.

By default the histogram is generated based on the sum of all 3 RGB color channels. Additionally the histogram for each of the 3 color channels can be shown. Some statistics about the histogram are also shown.
