* optionally, the teacher may ask children to colour the pictures in a given order to check their understanding
* the teacher asks students to fold the copy of the zig-zag book lengthways (in that case: with watermelon,corn, pea pot and soup fase up)
* the teacher demonstrates how to make the next fold ( in that case: alongside the line between watermelon and corn, then between corn and pea pot, and between pea pot and soup)
* after having done the folding, the teacher asks the students to 'open the book' on the page with a given item

* Divide the pupils into as many groups as words you want them to revise
(you may give each pupil a miniflashcard OR a sticker representing a given word)
* Play the music for children to dance/ move
* Stop the music and say the word
* Pupils from a given group perform an action, e.g. they sit down/ stand on one leg/ jump, etc. while the rest of the class is e.g. standing

Roll the dice.jpg

* Put the numbered flashcards face down (number them from 1 to 6, or use more than one dice if you want to revise more items)
* Invite the pupils, one by one, to throw the dice and to say the number
* (for lower levels) ask pupils to count along until they reach the right flashcard
* Elicit what is on the flashcard
* If pupils get it right, the flashcard stays face up and the next pupil throws the dice
* If pupils get it wrong, ask pupils to repeat the word after you and turn the flashcard face down

* divide the board into two (you may draw a line in the middle) parts
* elicit the names of objects that the flashcards represent
* stick the two sets face down on the board
* ask pupils to give you two numbers (one for each set) and turn over the corresponding flashcards
* ask pupils to name the flashcards
* if pupils get the pair from the two sets they get a point, if not, the teacher gets a point
