Irving Willat (1)

Irvin Willat (Stamford, 18 de noviembre de 1890 - Santa Mónica, 17 de abril de 1976 ) fue un director, guionista y director de fotografía estadounidense.

Biografía
Irvin Willat, nacido en Connecticut, trabajó principalmente en el cine mudo. De hecho, inició su carrera como director en 1917, realizando 39 películas, de las cuales solo las últimas siete son sonoras. Se había acercado al cine trabajando como actor y como director de fotografía. También fue guionista de media docena de películas.

En 1919, dirigió The Grim Game, una película de aventuras de 50 minutos protagonizada por el famoso mago e ilusionista Harry Houdini, película para la que Willat también escribió el guión.

Willat se casó con la actriz Billie Dove. El matrimonio duró de 1923 a 1929. wiki
