Effective immediately, software MCIS RCS Commander V2.6 SP1 has been released for delivery.
The tool "RCS Commander" (RCS = Remote Control System) supports you in your day-to-day work with the SINUMERIK solution line control systems. The tool "RCS Commander" offers simple file management for files on your PC and on SINUMERIK Solution line control systems.

The "RCS Commander" tool provides you with the following functions:

Functions for remote diagnostics and improved support:

Remote operation, monitoring, administration (this requires the RCS Host option)

File transfer on CF card and NC file system

Connection is established after the technician has made the appropriate conformation

Status display on the operator panel

The actual view of the control is saved as image on your PC

Optional with Teleservice software: Machine connections can be centrally maintained via remote connections and access data can be managed/administered



Functions to support the commissioning process:

Generating and restoring an image of the CompactFlash Card of your control to backup data
Writing existing images to a CompactFlash Card
Loading commissioning files directly into the control – and commissioning files from the control to your PC
Managing NC data of the control. Files can be directly copied from the PC into the NC (and vice versa)
Integration:

The RCS Commander is released for use in:

Point to point connection in conjunction with a TS Adapter IE (analog, ISDN modem) via X127 (Ethernet service interface)

Ethernet with X127 in local networks (LAN), taking into account the local IT security directives (IT Policy)

For remote diagnostic concepts based on X130 (connection to the company network) it is recommended to use ePS Diagnostic Services.
