W przededniu świąt zabiegani ludzie robią ostatnie zakupy, nagle elegancki mężczyzna zauważa brak portfela o którego kradzież posądza małą dziewczynkę.Dziewczynka zostaje zatrzymana przez efektowną młodą kobietę a przybyli policjanci rewidują dziewczynkę,lecz nic nie znajduja. Po chwili obie spotykają się w ustronnym miejscu i dowiadujemy się że rzeczywiście są złodziejkami. Mała Patsy i jej ciotka Trish(Masterson) podczas kolejnej próby kradzieży w domu towarowym, zostają złapane, jednak wezwana policja nie bardzo chce zatrzymać je na święta.
Dyrektor nakazuje więc swojemu pracownikowi ochrony, Bertowi, aby zajął się zatrzymanymi przez święta a ten zabiera je do swojego domu, aby po świętach przekazać je do aresztu.............
