Although TUF 6 was considered a low point in the series’ history in terms of both talent and entertainment value, the season finale on Spike TV in December of 2007 gave fans all they could handle, delivering two of the best fights of the year in Jon Koppenhaver (later known as War Machine) versus Jared Rollins, and lightweight contenders Roger Huerta versus Clay Guida.

After winning five straight fights in the UFC against midlevel competition, it was time for Huerta to be challenged. Veteran lightweight grinder Guida answered the call, and after giving Huerta a beating over the first two rounds, he succumbed in the third to a brutal knee to the face before tapping to a Rear Naked Choke. It was one of the best fights of the year and established Huerta as one of the biggest stars in the promotion.

Contestants from the early seasons of The Ultimate Fighter got some deserved recognition when a pair of winners—from Seasons 2 and 3—headlined the UFC 78 Pay Per View main event in November of 2007. In the main event, Rashad Evans won a close Split Decision over previously unbeaten British superstar Michael Bisping. Following the loss, Bisping made the move to the middleweight division.

In addition to featuring the UFC debuts of Ryo Chonan and Akihiro Gono, two of Japan’s best and brightest, UFC 78 was also going to feature the promotional debut of future Bellator Middleweight Champion Hector Lombard, but the Cuban judoka was forced out of the event due to visa issues.

Chuck Liddell and “Shogun” Rua, who made his promotional debut on the card, each lost disappointing bouts, to Keith Jardine and Forrest Griffin, respectively, temporarily damaging their appeal for the promotion.

Ten przebiegły zbrodniarz o twarzy ukrytej za dziwaczną maską od jakiegoś czasu sieje postrach w całym mieście. Kiedy do grona jego ofiar dołącza trzech wysoko postawionych obywateli, prefekt policji (Andre Dussolier) zwraca się z prośbą o pomoc do naszego bohatera. Niestety, tym razem przeciwnik okazuje się zbyt wytrawnym graczem nawet dla takiego profesjonalisty, jak Vidocq. Po dramatycznej walce ciało detektywa zabierają płomienie, a morderca odchodzi wolny.
Do czasu. Na trop prowadzący do rozwiązania całej intrygi wpada młody biograf Vidocqa Etienne Boisset (Guillame Canet), który po śmierci swego mistrza poprzysiągł zemstę zabójcy. Jednak to, co odkryje po drodze do rozwiązania całej zagadki, niejednego doprowadziłoby na skraj załamania nerwowego...

True to its billing, UFC 73 was stacked from top to bottom, showcasing two title fights, featuring Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva and Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk, respectively, along with a light heavyweight bout pitting former champion Tito Ortiz against TUF 2 winner Rashad Evans.

In an event that produced the highest attendance to date in North American MMA history, UFC 68 featured a heavyweight title fight between former champion and UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture and defending champion and 6’8” Tim Sylvia. Many pundits considered the bout a mismatch, as Couture was significantly smaller and older than his opponent.

After avenging his only UFC loss in six years to BJ Penn at UFC 63, Welterweight Champion Matt Hughes found himself facing the most dangerous challenge to his belt yet in the form of hungry Canadian phenom Georges St-Pierre, who had cruised through the rest of the division after losing to Hughes in a 2004 effort that left a bitter taste in his mouth.

Scarcely over one round later, St-Pierre would be Welterweight Champion of the world after knocking Hughes down with a head kick and finishing him with unanswered elbows from Hughes’s guard. Although St-Pierre was considered the best welterweight in the world at the time, he was defeated in his first title defense by heavy underdog Matt Serra in what remains to many the single biggest upset in MMA history.

Opis:
In a twist on the concept of the first three seasons, the fourth season of The Ultimate Fighter featured two tournaments—one each in the middleweight and welterweight divisions—contested between former members of the UFC roster looking to fight their way back into relevancy in their respective divisions. The winner of each tournament would be granted a title shot after the season was over.

In the middleweight finals, grappling ace Travis Lutter submitted Canadian striker Patrick Cote with an armbar in the first round, while Matt Serra won a close and controversial Split Decision over Chris Lytle to get a shot at the Welterweight Championship. Cote, Serra and Lytle all successfully revived their flagging MMA fight careers following the finale, whereas Lutter fell out of favor with the promotion following a disappointing showing against Anderson Silva for the title.
