Band is : Mark Knopfler, John Illsley, Danny Cummings, Guy Fletcher, Chris White Robbie McIntosh, Geraint Watkins, Bobby Valentino, Brendan Crocker, Steve Philips, Marcus Cliffe and jimmy Nail. A very special gig this one, for several reasons. It was John Illsley's first appearance on stage since the last Straits concert, back in October 9th, 1992 ! Also, it was Danny Cummings' first appearance on drums with Mark on stage, and that was simply FABULOUS !! Robbie McIntosh on guitars is also really great to hear ! Fantastic work, don't miss him ! Chris White also joined the band, so, from the Dire Straits band, we had Mark, Guy, Danny, John and Chris on stage that night ! That's maybe why they played songs like Calling Elvis, Walk of life, Your latest trick and Going home ! That was the first time ever that "Why Aye man" and "Quality shoe" were played, as the "Ragpicker's dream" album hadn't been released yet ! So, the setlist is great, with a good mix of songs ! On this DVD, the concert is complete, the sound and picture are both very good !

Znów świetny Waldo w akcji - najlepsza jak do tej pory rejestracja koncertu z trasy "KTGC Tour" Zwracam uwagę na dźwiek !! Going home My own audience recording of the kick off concert of the Kill to get Crimson world tour 2008! Recorded from the first row in front of the stage, a little right from the center. Unfortunately the center speakers did not work properly at the beginning of the show, so Mark's voice can hardly be heard during Cannibals and also the first part of Sailing to Philadelphia is not the way it should be. Apart from that (and not my fault, I am afraid all recordings of this night will suffer from the same problems), good sound and image quality, complete recording.
