Cenk Erdogan studied jazz composition at university with the acclaimed jazz musicians. He also worked on Turkish classical music and become a specialist on fretless guitar playing.
His music blends jazz harmonization and traditional melodies through a very special technique. Influenced by the traditional Turkish instruments baglama and tanbur , his technique is diverted from other fretless guitar playing techniques.
Cenk Erdogan Trio's first album " İLE " is relased from Baykus music.In this album Cenk Erdogan plays Fretted and fretless guitars,e-bow and bowed tanbur.Alper Kılıc plays doublebass and Arda Baykurt plays the drums.
