Akcja gry zaczyna się od sceny, w której przemieszczasz się dorożką wzdłuż lasu. W pewnym momencie niespodziewanie z ciemności wyłania się poruszający się o lasce mężczyzna i jego agresywny kot, a następnie uprowadza towarzyszącą Ci siostrę. Od napotkanej Marianne dowiadujesz się, że porwał ją Koślawy Człowiek (ang. Crooked Man), który 100 lat temu utracił narzeczoną. Od tego czasu ten opętaniec pozbawił wolności wielu bezbronnych dziewcząt. Twoim zadaniem jest uwolnienie siostry i pozostałych uwięzionych kobiet. Na ich uratowanie masz zaledwie kilka godzin. Gra polega na rozwiązywaniu licznych łamigłówek, zagadek i mini-gier. Dlatego niezbędne będzie sprawne wyszukiwanie odpowiednich przedmiotów i używanie ich we właściwych miejscach.
