Tachyon The Fringe

"I installed this on Win7 x64, works perfect. Thought I'd post step-by-step instructions for those who need them.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1) unrar tachyon.rar (rar files are like zips if you're unfamiliar. 7zip is a free program that does the trick nicely)
2) you should now have a file called tachyon.iso You can either burn this file to a physical CD or mount it using a virtual drive like Daemon Tools.
3) once you have the disk mounted (virtual or physical), open the disk and find the TTFSETUP folder. Open it and run the file SETUP.EXE
4) follow the standard installation instructions. It will prompt you to enter a serial key, use one of the ones in the file 'serial numbers.txt' from the torrent folder. I used the first, 2UZW-Z4GT-NMVE-FJAR-SQS5
5) once installed, unmount/eject the disk. You're done with it. Open the game folder which should be located somewhere like, C:Program Files (x86)NovaLogicTachyon
Copy the file 'ttf_update_050500_xx.exe' into this folder from the 'update' folder in the torrent. Once copied, run this file.
6) Copy the 3 files in the 'no-cd' folder of the torrent into the main Tachyon folder just like you did with the update file. It will prompt you to overwrite the space.exe file. That's fine.
7) Click on the Tachyon.exe file to launch the game.

That's it. On a side note, I have 2 game controllers installed and my joystick is the second. It did not work until I changed the controller in the in-game options, but now it works perfectly.
I also have not played the game through yet, so I'm not sure if the future issues will come up or not, but I suspect the people who experience those issues did not correctly patch the game."
