Worldwide, thinking people are faced with the terror of the demonic cabal controlling America and the world. This cabal is engaged in imperialistic conquest of other nations and the obliteration of the American democratic system. We must bring into realization an entirely new culture composed of new physical, psychological, and metaphysical principles and structures. We have no other recourse than to realize a new culture. For example, unlike the American colonists, we no longer have a free press to use in our struggle against oppression; right-wing Republicans own most American media outlets. "Humankind has existed within several different 'cultures' during our time on this earth," state Livergood and Mairesse, "and similar to what was said in the Declaration of Independence, when a culture and its causative world-view become destructive of human welfare, it is the right-and the necessity-of humans to disaffirm the old world and bring forth a new culture."

However, St. Brendan of Ireland, Leif Erikson and his fearless, bloody half-sister Freydis, and Henry Sinclair, Earl of Orkney, as well as less well-known figures of the past and present all spring to vivid life in these immensely readable pages. The author also discusses at length various inscriptions and runes, including the Heavener Runestone in Oklahoma, the Kensington Runestone in Minnesota, and the Military Effigy at Westford, Massachusetts. Numerous diagrams and reproductions of alphabets, runes and the monuments themselves greatly aid the reader in this fascinating, sometimes controversial study. A comprehensive bibliography is given for the benefit of those who wish to go into the matter further.
