Kolejna przeróbka już sprawdzonego formatu, który odniósł sukces w Anglii. ''Being Human'' będzie przedstawiał losy trójki nietypowych bohaterów, którzy znacznie odstają od innych mieszkańców ziemi. Wszyscy bohaterowie mają cechy paranormalne. Aidan (Sam Witwer) jest wampirem, Sally (Meaghan Rath) jest duchem, a Josh (Sam Huntington) wilkołakiem. Cała trójka mieszka razem w jednym mieszkaniu i stara się sprawiać normalne wrażenie.
W serialu pojawi się także Mark Pellegrino (''Lost''), który zagra Bishopa, charyzmatycznego i podłego wampirzego mentora Aidana.
Za serial odpowiadają Michael Prupas (''The Kennedys'', ''Pillars of the Earth''), Jeremy Carver (''Supernatural'') i Anna Fricke (''Men in Trees'', ''Everwood''), którzy są showrunnerami tego serialu.
