Alice (Lina Romay) and her husband (Antonio Mayans) are on holiday - she is suffering from vivid, sexual dreams about a mysterious black woman known as Tara (Ajita Wilson). A call from work comes through and she is asked to visit a near-by island to sell a house to a Princess Obongo, whom she soon discovers is Tara herself. Entering the kingdom of the mysterious woman, she soon finds herself at the mercy of her vicious slaves and forbidden lusts.

It is the film that shocks even the most hardcore connoisseurs of Euro-Sex sagas, a fever dream of unbridled depravity from the bizarre mind of writer/director Jess Franco! The ever-alluring Lina Romay--as her alter ego 'Candy Coster' - stars as a young wife haunted by erotic hallucinations of the mysterious Princess Obongo (an eye-popping performance by allegedly transsexual Ajita Wilson of SADOMANIA fame). But this self-proclaimed 'Goddess of Unspeakable Lust' has still more in store for this yuppie sexpot and her unsuspecting husband, including lesbian ecstasy, frenzied threesomes, bisexual orgies and beyond!

I like it so much because even though it has similar characters and plot to the original GRITOS (which was, after all heavily influenced by Georges Franju's LES YEUX SANS VISAGE-1959) it has a visual style and mood all its own. Very oppressive ambiance highlighted by the Pablo Villa/Jess Franco score which the director himself performs on a synthesizer. Long deep, Goth organ chords which are synthed into shrieks not unlike thos of the hookers kidnapped and experimented on by the SON of Dr. Orloff, effectively played by Antonio Mayans.
