A Farewell to Kings is the fifth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in 1977. The album was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales, and mixed at Advision Studios in London. A Farewell to Kings would become Rush's first US Gold-selling album, receiving the certification within two months of its release and was eventually certified Platinum. Geddy Lee originally wrote his bass lines on his acoustic bass. The birds heard on "A Farewell to Kings" and "Xanadu" were recorded outside near Rockfield Studios.

Ten fascynujący film dokumentalny opowiada dzieje przemysłu samochodowego Detroit – ustami ludzi, którzy niegdyś pracowali w tamtejszych zakładach produkujących samochody.
W filmie wykorzystano unikalne materiały archiwalne – zdjęcia z czasów świetności miasta nałożono na obecne, ukazujące opuszczone, zrujnowane fabryki. Ścieżkę muzyczną filmu tworzą utwory, które tu powstały, od ragtime’u po rap i techno. Requiem dla Detroit? ukazuje wzlot i upadek Wielkiej Trójki – General Motors, Forda i Chryslera – oraz skutki jakie miał dla miasta kryzys w tych trzech firmach.
Twórcy filmu zrealizowali wywiady z ludźmi, mieszkającymi wśród porzuconych zakładów przemysłowych. Zajrzeli do zamkniętych szkół, do oblazłych budynków publicznych... Przyjrzeli się też przedmieściom, w których ludzie żyją zakupami, jakby nie widzieli tego, co dzieje się nieopodal. Ten przejmujący film to opowieść o życiu miasta, zależnego od jednej gałęzi przemysłu.

Na początku XV wieku zakonnicy Sawwatiusz i Zosima dotarli nad brzeg Morza Białego i w niewielkim czółnie przeprawili się na wyspy, nazwane potem Archipelagiem Sołowieckim. Wybudowali tu klasztor, a za ich przykładem także inne zakony zagospodarowały teren. W 1920 roku do archipelagu dotarła nowa władza. Mnichów wygnano, a wszystko zamieniono na łagier. W ciągu 20 lat przez łagry na Wyspach Sołowieckich przewinęło się około miliona skazańców 50 narodowości.

Twórcy filmu docierają do jednego z byłych agentów KGB, obecnie dysydenta Wiktora Orekowa. Dzięki niemu zamierzają poznać część tajemnic związanych z działalnością legendarnych służb specjalnych. Przed rokiem 1989 Orekow był jednym z agentów tej organizacji. Do jego zadań należało kontrolowanie demonstracji i opozycjonistów. Dość szybko przekonał się, że bliżej mu do tych, których inwigiluje. Dzięki niemu przywódcy demonstracji byli uprzedzani o planach KGB. Obecnie Orekow mieszka w Stanach Zjednoczonych i pracuje w pizzerii. Nadal jednak, nie chcąc podzielić losu Aleksandra LItwinienki, ukrywa swoją tożsamość.
